Professor Jiménez is the Director, Student Loan Law Initiative, at UC Irvine. Her scholarly work focuses on contracts, bankruptcy and consumer financial distress, the regulation of financial products and its intersection with consumer protection, and access to justice.  She spent a year as part of the founding staff of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau where she worked on debt collection, debt relief, credit reporting, and student loan issues.

Josh Cohen is nationally known as The Student Loan Lawyer. He teaches the Student Loan Law Workshop where he provides student loan training and tolls for consumer attorneys.  

Judge Reyes Bordeaux, sitting in the Riverside Division, is nationally known for her passion about access to justice issues including student loans.
